Our Handcrafted Lamp Styles
Tiffany Lamp Reproductions - In the Museum Collection of Tiffany
Lamp Reproductions, Dale Tiffany has tried to capture the superb craftsmanship,
designs, and timelessness of America's foremost designers. It is only here
that you will see the rare and exotic glass colors and textures that are
found in L.C. Tiffany Lamps in museums and the great auction houses. Bases
are available in bronze, brass and in a variety of cast metals. By using
the lost wax process of metal casting, Dale Tiffany is able to replicate
Tiffany Lamp masterpieces to the minutest detail, creating heirlooms fortoday, tomorrow and forever. Dale's reproductions are the standard by which
all others will be judged.
Traditional Tiffany Lamp Styles - The Traditional Tiffany Collection of
lamps reflects patterns and styles that were part of our American heritage.
In many cases, colors and designs were updated so as to coordinate with
the home decors that are popular today. Dale Tiffany uses the same high
quality copperfoil and leading that Louis Comfort Tiffany perfected in his
original creations. His love of flowers and nature is reflected in many
of the Dale Tiffany shades and bases. L.C. Tiffany was constantly innovating
his many techniques and styles, and Dale Tiffany has continued that heritage.
Mission/Prairie Lamp Styles - The Prairie School of Design is a collection and
reflection of many styles with simple, strong designs and vibrant colors.
Two major forces that shape the development of this period were two men
with architectural backgrounds. Frank Lloyd Wright and Charles Rennie Mackintosh.
Both men were fascinated with the magical effects of light upon iridescent
glass. Using linear and simple geometric patterns, they created designs
for windows and lights that truly dazzled the architectural community.
Dale Tiffany was inspired by their creations and has developed an entire
lamp collection that reflects their genius. In the early nineteen hundreds,
there also arose another group of artisans who developed the handcrafted
mission style lamp. Using simple patterns combining metal and wood with
American art glass, they created lighting that perfectly coordinated with
southwest and minimalist home furnishings.
Hand Painted Lamp Styles - In the last decade, Dale Tiffany has resurrected another
glass art form created in the beginning of the 20th century, reverse painted
glass. Originally developed by Philip Julius Handale, it brought the beauty
and warmth of French Impressionist Art to glass and lighting. Using a small
array of skilled artists, Dale Tiffany has been able to bring beautiful
floral and subtle landscape patterns into living recreations of nature itself.
Sculptured Lamp Styles - Since ancient times, man has always been fascinated by
three dimensional reproductions of the human form and nature. Using the lost
wax process and casting techniques developed over the years, the
Dale Tiffany
craftsmen have created a large body of sculptured products. Using brass,
bronze, and specially cast metals, many unique statues have been made into
elegant lamp bases or interesting accessory lights. The sculptured bases
are hand rubbed and finished with subtle, satin antique bronze and brass
finishes. The accessory items such as turtles, frogs, ducks and others have
a soft glow that will readily enhance any room. The large sculptures will
easily become the focal point of any room while enhancing it with beauty
and light.
